Welcome to Racial Equality Council
We are here to give a helping hand and free you from the fear of any discrimination.
Preston and Western Lancashire Racial Equality Council was established in 1968. The 1976 Race Relations Act, with its prohibition of indirect discrimination marked a turning point for racial harassment and equality became our main priority.
The agency serves an area, which spans various district councils in the West Lancashire area. Namely the Boroughs of Preston, Blackpool, Wyre, Fylde, South Ribble, Chorley, the district of West Lancashire, the City of Lancaster and Blackburn with Darwen.
Preston and Western Lancashire Racial Equality Council is a voluntary organisation, which receives financial support from the Big Lottery Fund, Lancashire County Council and Preston City Council.
